SNMT Venue: The "Sole Survivor" Challenge 🩴🏓
This year, SNMT players will be putting their footwork to the test in a rather unusual way! Forget your racket - it's time to see whether you can survive with a shoe on your side! 😂
✅ What's Allowed?
· Each player must use one Croc, flip-flop, or sandal instead of a table tennis racket for the entire match.
· The footwear must be brought by the player and approved by the umpire before the match begins.
· Players may choose whichever of the three footwear types they prefer, provided it is safe to use and suitable for striking the ball.
❌ What's Not Allowed?
· Using a conventional table tennis racket at any point during the match.
· Switching footwear during a match.
· Using footwear that has sharp edges, hard protrusions, or any feature that could damage the table or injure another player.
· Deliberately throwing or releasing the footwear during play.
🏓 Gameplay Rules:
· All normal table tennis rules apply, except where modified by this challenge.
· Players must use their approved footwear to serve, return, and play every shot.
· The footwear must be held in the hand like a racket; players may not wear it on their feet and use it to strike the ball.
👀 Umpires and Assistant Umpires will be nominated and watching closely! 😉
⚠️ Remember: It's not about having the fanciest footwear - it's about surviving the challenge! Bring your Crocs, flip-flops, or sandals, leave your racket in your bag, and prepare for some seriously unconventional table tennis.
Can you become the ultimate Sole Survivor? 🩴🏆
Ps. we have something special in store for those players who play with Crocs
RPRC Venue: The "Towel Placement" Challenge
For the NiniMeeniMoe challenge at RPRC, we’re throwing in the towel, literally!
✅ What’s the Rule?
· Each player must bring a towel (face towel or hand towel, limited up to 130cm x 70cm) for every match. Preferably Face or Hand Towels, anything too large will be folded).· If you forget your towel, be ready to face a 21-point penalty - your opponent will thank you! 😬
📍 Towel Placement:
- After the toss and a quick practice session, but before the match begins, place your towel anywhere on your side of the table.- Your towel stays there for the whole match, adding a sneaky element to your strategy! 😎
🏓 Gameplay Interaction:
- If the ball hits the towel (yours or your opponent's) during a rally, it’s ‘out’, and the point goes to your opponent.- Think fast! The towel becomes your very own on-court obstacle to avoid. 🚫
🔄 Towel Adjustment:
- Towels can only be moved during regular towelling breaks (every 6 points) or between games.
- Trying to move it at the wrong time? 😱 Prepare for a penalty, as the Penalty Point System (PPS) will be enforced. Multiple violations could even lead to a match forfeit!
⚠️ So, grab your towel and get ready to literally "throw in the towel"—but not in the way you’d think!
This year, your towel is your wildcard, and its strategic placement might just make or break your game.
Don’t get caught with your towel down! 👀
See you on the tables for NiniMeeniMoe 2026!!!
