The T2 Aged Divisions Singles League - 2023
We are thrilled to announce the launch of our T2 Age Division League, an exciting addition to our club that caters to enthusiasts of all ages. This league offers a unique opportunity for players to compete in a structured, fun, and engaging environment that celebrates the diversity of our table tennis community.
League Participation:
Participation in our Age Division League is open to individuals of all skill levels and backgrounds. Whether you're a seasoned table tennis veteran or just starting your journey in the sport, our league is designed to accommodate and challenge players at various age groups.
Age Group Divisions:
One of the distinctive features of our league is its division into age groups, ensuring that players are pitted against competitors of similar age. This promotes fair and balanced competition, making every match a thrilling contest. Age group divisions include (but are not limited to):
Veterans (50+)
Veterans (30+)
Seniors (18 - 30)
Juniors (Under 18)
Juniors (Under 14)
League Structure:
Our league comprises multiple rounds, each ideally lasting for one quarter (three months). The Lead Umpires will communicate the end of the round to the Referee/League Manager.
Match Scheduling:
Lead Umpires are responsible for scheduling the matches of the divisions that they oversee. Players in each division must compete against every other participant in their division twice once during each round, with a break of at least 1 month between a repeat of the same match-up. To facilitate communication, our Member Area provides a resource for matching membership IDs with member names, making it easy for Lead Umpires to connect and coordinate matches.
Umpiring and Scorecards:
To maintain the integrity of our league, all matches must be officiated by a certified club umpire. Players may not umpire their own games. Following each match, the Lead umpire is required to submit accurate and completed scorecards. Uncertified club umpires may assume the role of Assistant Umpires only.
Important Dates:
Round 1: Q1 2024 (Ends 2023-03-27)
[Continue with additional rounds as needed]
Join our Age Division League and be part of a vibrant table tennis community that values skill, sportsmanship, and camaraderie. We look forward to seeing you on the table and embracing the spirit of competition across generations!
